How to Set Up a Gaming Hub in Your Home

Gaming Hub in Your Home

Every gamer out there deserves to have an epic gaming setup. And although the reality is that not all of us have enough room in our homes to create a huge gaming enterprise, we all have at least one secluded corner that will be more than enough for such purposes.

No true gaming setup will be complete without proper gaming furniture, a gaming rig and some game-inspired trinkets. And while you should also invest in adding an acoustic panel to the overall design – to dampen the noise, there are numerous other things you can do to make your gaming hub even more epic – regardless of its size.

Here are just some ideas.

Find the right spot

First and foremost, you’ll need to find the perfect spot for your gaming hub. If you live in a house that has any spare rooms, simply choose one of them for this purpose. The room doesn’t necessarily have to be particularly spacious, especially if you’ll only use it for PC and console gaming.

On the other hand, if your living space is quite limited, chances are you won’t really be able to dedicate an entire room for this purpose. Luckily, there are still ways you can easily create even a single gaming corner, where you’ll have some peace and quiet.

Visually section off the space

To start off, you’ll need to visually section off your gaming corner from the rest of your surroundings. You can easily achieve this by simply painting the space with a different wall paint. That way you’ll create a visual barrier and have your gaming section act as a room within a room.

Additionally, you can always install wall panels or similar room-divider options to even further section off your little gaming corner.

Set the vibe

Next, you will need to set the right mood in your gaming corner. The easiest way to do this is to ensure that you have plenty of light – and that you can easily control and condition it to your wants and needs. Lighting can truly be a powerful tool when it comes to setting the right mood, so don’t miss out on the opportunity to use it to your advantage as well.

For starters, make sure you have enough lighting sources that will provide you with an overhead, task and ambient light. That way, you can choose to use all – or only some of them, depending on your needs.

But as gaming corners don’t really need to be illuminated too brightly, you can also get your hands on LED RGB light strips and use them to create the desired mood and vibe. Such solutions are an excellent addition to any gaming hub, as they allow you to coordinate the color of the light with the type of game you play.

Make it cozy

Furthermore, while you wish to create a space that looks nice, you also need to ensure that it will cater to all of your gaming needs.

So, first and foremost, you’ll need to choose the right gaming furniture. Since you simply can’t possibly expect your gaming efforts to be as fulfilling as you want them unless you’re entirely comfortable during your sessions, get your hands on a good gaming chair and table.

Moreover, keep in mind that furniture is not the only part that needs to be comfortable. Instead, you’ll need to find the right options that suit your specific needs best when it comes to the gaming mouse, keyboard and headset.

In the end, once all the furniture and gaming peripherals are taken care of, you can cozy the space up even further. Add a nice area rug to bring more comfort and warmth to your feet and even get some cozy throw blankets you can easily snuggle up in whenever you feel like it.

Make it epic

In the end, make the space look even more epic with proper décor pieces. Deck the walls with various images inspired by your favorite games, get your hands on fun games-inspired desk trinkets and don’t forget to obtain a staple gamer’s mug that can easily hold all of your beverages.

These small additions won’t make a huge dent in your budget but they will easily make your gaming space look downright epic.
