Instagram has recently released a new Data feature to let Instagram users download a copy of their photos, videos, stories, profile info, comments, and messages before deleting their Instagram account. Right now, the data download feature is available only on the web version, but it is rolling out to iOS and Android soon.
How to Download Your Instagram Data with Web Tool
Step 1: Firstly go to instagram.com
Step 2:Â Once you are logged in, click on profile icon on the top right side.
Step 3:Â On the profile page, click on the gear icon and select ‘Privacy and Security’.
Step 4:Â Scroll down to Data Download.
Step 5:Â Click on the Request Download link and you will be redirected to the Instagram download data page.
Step 6:Â Type in your email address if it doesn’t automatically pop up. By default, you see registered email address in that field but you can change if you want to receive the download link to any other email address. Then click Next.
Step 7:Â Enter your password and click Request Download.
After your request for the data download, it will suggest you wait for up to 48 hours. Instagram will create a file with all the photos, videos and stories which you’ve shared and email you a link to the file to your email address so that you can download it.
